The YLD Retreat is focused on supporting and encouraging young adults with physical disabilities to enjoy outdoor recreational activities; live healthy, active lifestyles; and improve skill development.

Each day, participants will partake in fun, interactive leadership development sessions with the goal of helping to increase independence; build self-confidence; make new friends; learn new skills; and set goals for the future. 

We want to ensure that the sessions that we lead each summer are beneficial, and therefore we will be turning to the participants to see what kinds of leadership skills they want to learn. We are excited for them to help us develop this revised program in a ‘choose your own adventure’ style of camp. Participants will also have the opportunity to earn a tangible leadership certificate to help with future employment and volunteer opportunities.
